U.S.-Only Ivory Sales Policy

Greatland Gifts complies with all state and federal regulations governing the sale of legally harvested Alaska Native–created walrus ivory, fossil ivory, and baleen artwork.

To protect both my customers and my business, the following policies apply to every ivory item listed on this website: Legal Compliance

  • All modern walrus ivory used in my work is legally obtained, tagged, and documented according to Alaska Department of Fish & Game (ADF&G) and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) regulations.

  • Fossil ivory and baleen are acquired from legal sources within the State of Alaska.

Shipping Restrictions

  • I do not ship ivory or baleen outside the United States.

  • Orders to U.S. territories (e.g., Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands) cannot be accepted.

  • I do not ship to APO/FPO/DPO military addresses due to federal handling restrictions.

  • Any order placed with a non-U.S. shipping address will be automatically cancelled.

Export Restrictions

It is illegal to export walrus ivory, baleen, or certain marine-mammal–derived materials outside of the United States without a federal export permit.
I do not offer export services under any circumstances.

Customer Responsibility

By purchasing an ivory item from this shop, you acknowledge:

  • You are physically located in the United States

  • You will not request or attempt international shipping

  • You will not export these items after receiving them

  • You understand federal penalties may apply for unlawful export

Refund & Cancellation

Any order attempting to bypass these restrictions will be cancelled and refunded minus payment processor fees.
